Participation: Open to the public

This class introduces lathe safety, tool selection, and spindle-turning techniques while guiding participants through the creation of a handcrafted pen.

This class is a required step for members who want independent lathe access and provides a strong introduction for those exploring Makerspace membership.

Participants will also learn how woodworking tools are shared, maintained, and used responsibly within the Makerspace.

No prior woodworking or turning experience is required.
